1. Locate a recent magazine. This magazine could be from the local grocery or pharmacy or something you received in the mail. How many fad diets can you locate in this magazine? What age group does the product target?
2. Do you think television advertisements affect food choices? Why or why not?
3. Explain what it means to eat a healthy diet? Can this be accomplished using a fad diet?
4. If you had a close friend who tends to particpate in fad diets, how can you help your friend lead a more healthy lifestyle. List at least three ideas.
